Dr. Manjunatha S. completed his M.Sc. in Physics from Gulbarga University in 2008 and earned a Post-Graduate Diploma in Materials Science from JNCASR, Bengaluru, in 2010.
He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in 2021 for his research on conducting polymer composites and sensor studies. He has served in various teaching roles at PU, engineering, and degree institutions, including BITM Ballari, before moving into advanced research roles at JNCASR under eminent scientists Prof. C. N. R. Rao and Prof. S. M. Shivaprasad.
His research focuses on conducting polymer composites, functionalized nanomaterials, and two-dimensional materials. He has presented papers at several national and international conferences and has published around 40 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
Beyond research, he is an active science communicator and author, with multiple books and popular science articles to his credit. He founded Madame Curie Science Academy and has delivered over 800 science outreach lectures across Karnataka. He currently serves as Dean – Research & Innovation and Professor & Chairperson of Physics at Kishkinda University, Ballari.
