Working Hours
The Library is open to all members of Kishkinda University during the following hours, except on government holidays:
- Monday to Saturday: 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
- During Examination Days: 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.
Book Circulation Timings:
The circulation of library materials for all Kishkinda University members is as follows:
- Working Days: 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Users may borrow books and non-book materials (including journals, magazines, newspapers, and bound volumes) during working hours at the Library Circulation Counter.
- Under the Book Bank Scheme, the Library issues textbooks to students for the entire semester.
- UG and PG students may borrow up to five books for one semester.
- A fine of ₹ 5 (Rupees Five) per day will be charged for the late return of books after the due date.
- Teaching staff may borrow up to ten books, and non-teaching staff may borrow up to five books, for a period of one month.

The following library materials may be issued only with the special permission of the Librarian:
- Reference Books
- Unbound parts / current issues of journals
- Dictionaries
- Handbooks
- Reports


Loss and Defacement of Books and other library materials
In the event of loss or damage to library materials, the borrower shall be required to either replace the item(s) or pay double the cost of the book(s) along with any applicable fine. Any student found to have intentionally defaced or damaged library materials will have their library privileges suspended for a specified period, as decided by the Library authorities.
Students are responsible for the proper care of library materials and must not deface them by underlining, writing, drawing, tearing pages, removing any part of the material, or damaging them in any other manner.
Weed out Policy
Weeding is a continuous process of evaluating the library collection to identify and remove materials that are outdated, damaged, or no longer useful to library users.
The Librarian shall prepare a list of weeded-out library materials based on usage statistics and academic relevance, in consultation with the respective teaching staff. The proposed list will be submitted to the University authorities for approval before the materials are officially withdrawn from the Library.

External Users / Visitors:
External users and visitors from other universities or institutions are permitted to use the Library facilities upon producing a valid authorization letter from their respective university or institution. However, such users are not permitted to borrow or issue any library materials.
Code of Conduct:
- An identity card is mandatory for entry into the Library.
- Personal belongings should be kept outside the Library. The Library is not responsible for the loss of personal items.
- Users must sign the in–out register or scan their identity card while entering the Library.
- Borrowing library materials without a valid identity card is prohibited.
- Use of another person’s identity card is strictly prohibited.
- Maintain silence in the Library and its surroundings.
- Do not talk loudly or move noisily inside the Library.
- Mobile phones are not permitted inside the Library. Phones must be switched off or kept in silent/vibration mode before entering.
- Listening to music inside the Library is not allowed.
- The Library authorities reserve the right to suspend membership or take disciplinary action against defaulters.
