Student Support & Well-Being

The Mentor–Mentee system at Kishkinda University is designed to provide continuous academic guidance, personal support, and professional mentoring to every student.

Each faculty member is assigned a group of students (mentees) to monitor their academic progress, attendance, well-being, and overall development throughout their course of study.

Objectives
  • To offer personalized academic guidance and career mentoring
  • To improve communication between students, faculty, and parents
  • To monitor student performance, attendance, and discipline
  • To provide timely support for academic or personal concerns

Roles and Responsibilities

Mentor
  • Provide academic guidance and career mentoring to assigned mentees
  • Monitor attendance, academic performance, and overall development
  • Conduct regular mentor-mentee meetings and maintain interaction records
  • Communicate with parents regarding student progress whenever required
  • Be available to the mentees beyond the classroom for guidance and support
  • Counsel mentees who are involved in disciplinary issues, academic irregularities.
  • Counselling in right direction to develop the positive attitude and focus more on academic and career development.
  • Alert mentees regarding important academic and administrative updates such as:
    • Registration dates
    • Examination schedules
    • Fee payment due dates
    • Any other important university notifications

This proactive mentoring approach ensures timely support, improved communication, and holistic development of students throughout their academic journey.

Mentees
  • Regularly meet their assigned mentor and use the mentoring support to solve academic and personal issues.
  • Accept the mentor's suggestions positively and strictly adhere to the suggestions for the improvement of academic, career development and to overcome any hurdles.
  • Be open to new learning methods and ask for help whenever needed.
  • Stay focused on studies and work towards achieving good results.
  • Be disciplined, responsible, and committed to learning.
  • Make good use of the University's facilities, mentoring support, and opportunities to develop skills and improve performance, and also keep focus on mental health and wellbeing.

Mentees should actively participate in mentoring sessions, maintain good attendance, follow mentor guidance, stay focused on academics, and use university resources effectively for their overall growth and success.
