Programme structure
Dr. V. C. Patil is the Dean, Faculty of Engineering and , Kishkinda University, Ballari, with over 33 years of rich academic and administrative experience.
He completed his B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Gulbarga University in 1990, followed by an M.Tech in Industrial Electronics from NITK, Surathkal in 1993. He earned his Ph.D. in 2010 from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, specializing in Ad Hoc Wireless Networks.
Dr. Patil has served in various academic and leadership capacities and was the Principal of Ballari Institute of Technology and Management (BITM), Ballari, for nearly seven years. He also served as Dean (R&D), contributing significantly to research development and institutional growth.
He played a pivotal role in initiating and executing several key projects at BITM, including the establishment of a 700 kWp solar power plant, promoting sustainable and renewable energy practices. He was instrumental in securing Autonomous Status for BITM, Ballari.
He has published four patents and more than 25 research papers in reputed international journals and international conference proceedings. In recognition of his expertise, he has been nominated as a reviewer and editor for Thermal Science journals, contributing to the peer-review process and academic quality assurance
A dedicated researcher and mentor, Dr. Patil has guided eight Ph.D. scholars and is currently supervising two Ph.D. students. He has published nearly 50 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences. His areas of research interest include Sensor Networks, Ad Hoc Wireless Networks, and Renewable Energy Sources
