Report on Pre-Summit Activities for AI Impact Summit 2026

Kishkinda University, Ballari organized pre‐summit activities for the AI Impact Summit 2026 at its campus on 07 February 2026. The program was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice‐Chancellor, Dr. T. N. Nagabhushana. Dr. Swamy, Principal of PES Institute of Technology and Management (PESITM), Shimoga was the Chief Guest. The event was graced by the presence of the Registrar, Registrar (Evaluation), Dean – Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Dean – Faculty of Commerce and Chairpersons of various departments. Faculty members and students of the university actively participated in the day‐long seminar.

Addressing the participants, the Hon’ble Vice‐Chancellor, Dr. T. N. Nagabhushana, emphasized that India has a vast young population below 35 years of age who must be trained in all aspects of AI skills to assume global leadership. He also delivered a talk on the topic “Policy Framework for AI Education.”

Eminent speakers who delivered expert talks included Mr. Suresh H. P. (Industry Expert) and Dr. Pavan Kumar C. (IIT Dharwad). They spoke on sustainable adoption of Artificial Intelligence in higher education, industry expectations and emerging research directions.
