Eligibility
Candidates must have a Master's degree or M.Phil. in the relevant discipline.A minimum of 55% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade/CGPA) is required from a recognized university.Admission is based on a Ph.D. Entrance Test conducted by the university.The candidate must secure at least 50% marks in the entrance examination to qualify for the interview.The entrance test consists of:
- 50% Research Aptitude/Research Methodology
- 50% Subject-specific questions.
Candidates who qualify in the entrance test are called for an interview/viva-voce.The interview evaluates

- Feasibility and originality of the proposed research topic
- Availability of a suitable research supervisor and research facilities.
